A unique spin on date night!
Enjoy some quality bonding time with your loved one by booking a Couples Pottery Date. Also a great way to treat a new friend to a romantic evening. We supply candle light and background music to make your date night compete.
You will spend two hours creating together in the studio. Watch a demonstration and then try out using the pottery wheel yourself! Each person makes one or two pots to be fired to keep as a memento of the date.
When booking your pottery date with Stepping Stones Pottery you can expect an intimate setting for you and your loved one. We have a new space in Downtown Mocksville!! Create pottery in our new studios where you receive with one-on-one instruction and guidance. We offer a welcoming space for everyone, from any walk of life. So you can come as you are, no previous experience necessary.
Our studio is located 7 miles from downtown Mocksville, NC.

After securing your date, I’ll send over some additional information so you can start to prepare for your pottery experience. Take a peek below to what you can expect on the day of your experience.
01. WELCOME & STUDIO TOUR
I will welcome you to the studio space, and we’ll do our introductions. You’ll get to look around the studio at all the pieces in progress, some finished work on display, and see the tools, clay and glazes that go into what we’ll create.
02. WHEEL DEMO
You’ll have the opportunity to watch me create a simple cylinder piece on the pottery wheel while I explain each step of the process.
03. HANDS ON INSTRUCTION
Then it will be your turn to create a piece on the wheel. I will guide you through each step as you make your pieces.
04. CREATE YOUR POTTERY
We will take turns with your date, then you may throw at the same time on different wheels.
05. CHOOSE GLAZE COLORS
So you can choose the perfect color for your own pieces, I’ll show you a few glaze color samples on finished pieces. You will then get to pick your glaze color to finish off your pottery project.
06. PICK UP
After your pieces dry completely they will be fired, glazed, and then fired a second time. Once they are ready, I will reach out with details about pottery pickup at the studio.
